4 PM Purple Tea

Ono Teas’ 4 PM Tea is made from tarty Hibiscus Flower Petals and beautiful Butterfly Pea Flowers.   Translating as “Rose of China” in Latin, hibiscus is a beautiful, vigorous, glossy-leafed plant with intensely bright red, double flowers that are found in the tropical and sub-tropical regions. Widely cultivated as an ornamental plant, it is seen by Hawaiian women as a symbol of beauty. Traditionally this plant has been used in the form of paste and applied to the hair as a natural shampoo-it helps with healthy improved textured hair, scalp, anti-greying.   Butterfly Pea is believed to have originated from South America and Asia. Brought to India in the 17th century; then to Europe and much later to the tropics. The Clitoria Ternatea plant is popularly used in Thai restaurants and spas by the name “Nam Dok Anchan”.  4 PM gives an exemplary mix of both of these blossoms to make a hypnotizing and tangy purple-coloured Tea. Its shade catches the eye and inclines an individual to taste the fresh tartness of the tea.
